Introduction

The inaugural Hero ISL Children’s League is being held in three states, i.e. West Bengal, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh in four age categories of Under-6, Under-8, Under-10 and Under-12.

There are a total of 12 leagues in West Bengal, 3 in Meghalaya and 2 in Arunachal Pradesh.

Documents required

Every participating player in the league must submit the following documents:
• Age Proof: Birth certificate/Aadhar Card/Pan Card/Passport
• Institution Affiliation Proof: School ID Card/Academy ID Card/Club ID Card/Registration number (With State FA)
• 1 Passport size photograph

No match at any venue can start without an ambulance. An ambulance and doctor/physiotherapist must be present.

Points System

The following points system is implemented:

Win 3 points
Draw 1 points
Loss 0
Goal difference (goals scored minus goals conceded) for every team will also be recorded.

4-0 Format 1-1-1-1 Format
The leaderboard is based on the cumulative points across 4 age group categories (Under-6, Under-8, Under-10, Under-12) of all the teams. Individual Leaderboard is created for each age group category (Under-6, Under-8, Under-10, Under-12).
Teams finishing 1st and 2nd on the cumulative leaderboard will be declared the champion and runners up respectively. Teams finishing 1st and 2nd in their respective age group category will be declared as winners and runners up respectively.
In case of a tie,

· Preference 1: The team with the highest number of wins
· Preference 2: The team with the highest number of goals scored

In case of a tie,

· Preference 1: The team with the highest number of wins
· Preference 2: The team with the highest number of goals scored

Bonus points will be awarded based on attendance. Attendance will be taken 2 times during the league: once at the end of 12 matches and the other at the end of the league.

Top 5 teams with the highest attendance will be rewarded with the bonus points.

If there are 4-5 teams tied with highest attendance 3 points each
If there are over 5 teams tied with highest attendance 2 points each

Kindly note :

• If only one team has the highest attendance , they will be rewarded with 4 points.
• If there is only one team with 2nd highest attendance, the team will be rewarded 3 points.
• If there are less than 4 teams tied for 2nd highest attendance, then the 3rd highest attendance team will be rewarded with 2 points each.

In a nutshell, institutes will be ranked by total points (depending on the league), cumulative goal difference, cumulative goals scored and attendance. The team with the highest points at the end of the league will be awarded with the championship.
