The All India Football Federation (AIFF) E-License Course was conducted at the Meghalaya Football Association (MFA) Turf 3rd ground, Shillong.

The course was held from 11th to 14th February with 22 participants attending the course, with the majority of them a part of the inaugural edition of the Hero ISL Children’s League. The lead instructor of the course was Deepak CM, with Tapi Apa assisting him.

Speaking on the experience, Deepak CM said, “It was fantastic. Since all the coaches here are dealing with the Hero ISL Children’s League teams, they were all excited. The facilities were really great. The coaches were also very keen to learn. They were questioning us and clearing their doubts.”

Further speaking on the requirement of pursuing a grassroots course like the AIFF E-License Course, he mentioned, “The E-License course covers almost every aspect of training. These include how to deal with the children, the characteristics of children, how to prepare for a session, first aid and injuries, and most importantly the child protection policy. In a nutshell, almost everything is covered for coaches who deal with children.”
